On Monday, the French news agency AFP quoted the Czech Foreign Ministry and the model's lawyer as saying that in 2019, 25-year-old Czech model Teresa Holoskova was sentenced to eight years in prison for drug trafficking.
Theresa Holoskova was arrested at Lahore Airport in January 2018 with nine kilograms of heroin.
Footage released by Akstan's customs office showed her trying to board a flight to the United Arab Emirates.
Hloskova was sentenced in March 2019 by a local court to eight years, nine months and a fine.
The Czech model had argued in court that the drugs had been placed in her suitcase.
He had filed an appeal against the sentence in April 2019 in the Lahore High Court.
A tweet from the Czech Foreign Ministry said, "According to the information provided by the model's lawyer, we confirm that the court has acquitted the Czech model imprisoned in Pakistan."
The tweet added that "the release process should be completed within days of the verdict."
